Diesel generator set cannot start
The main reasons why diesel generator sets cannot start can be summarized as follows: fuel system problems, ignition system problems, mechanical failures, air filter blockage, low temperature, and oil pipeline blockage.

First, fuel system problems are one of the common reasons why Diesel Generator sets cannot start. This may include no oil in the tank or too much oil viscosity, which makes it impossible to pump out diesel; blocked injectors or damaged injection pumps. In addition, air in the fuel line, fuel pump failure, or poor fuel quality may also cause start failure.
Second, ignition system problems are also an important factor. This may include spark plug failure (such as spark plug breakage or carbon deposition) or insufficient battery power, resulting in insufficient spark to ignite diesel.
Mechanical failures may also cause diesel generator sets to fail to start. Wear of components such as pistons and valves will reduce the compression pressure of the engine, making it difficult to start. In addition, insufficient cylinder compression is also a common problem, and it is necessary to check the cylinder compression and the wear of related components.
A clogged air filter will reduce the amount of air entering the engine, affecting combustion efficiency, making it difficult to start the engine. When the temperature is too low, the viscosity of diesel increases, the fluidity becomes poor, and it will also cause difficulty in starting. Finally, the blockage of the oil pipeline will lead to poor diesel delivery and affect the normal operation of the engine. Checking whether the oil pipeline and filter are unobstructed is a key step to solve this problem.
